Brilliant pics!

But there is one thing really bugging me about one of them.
How come a dog hates it when you blow on its face yet when its in the car it sticks its head out the window?? lol

Great pics! They are so beautiful. I love the last one though - - a hard day in a dog's life.... playing all day and then lying exhausted on the couch.;)

thanks! not too hard, just point and shoot..lol :p although i did get wet up to my knee at Glenn Falls and had to walk out a mile with wet socks and shoes, those rocks are slippery & man was that water cold :p

Beautiful Pics!!!

As for the duck, a blue phased snow goose would be my only guess - and I'd wager I'm wrong.
Yeah I have no idea...the only ducks I think I can identify are canadian geese, swans, and maybe a mallard. The funny thing is once I put camera away they really started to show out by diving down in the water and back up and back down, then they would really flap their wings! Figures

Im really not sure. We have mainly mallards here, with a few pintails, woodducks, and mergansers.

Is the back green/black, the front brown, a black head ?

They almost look to be domestic crosses. Did they fly high, or just flapp a little bit and were pretty much grounded?

I will ask my husband if he knows, when he gets home.:)

Very Beautiful Pictures, I guess your dog had lots of fun.

Thanks Julie for the response. Here is another closer picture, the chest is brown, the head is black, the neck has a wide white ring, the back is an irredecent green balck, the feet are orange, the bill is yellow, and when they opened their wings they had white feathers underneath. They stayed in the water almost the whole time I watched them, except to get on a rock every now and then. I think your right about them being a cross. :) Ike had loads of fun, almost everyone he went by told him what a pretty boy he was and petted him on the head.
