Don't get me wrong I WANT to get Didi spayed, but I'm just terrified of getting her spayed and the chance of losing her. Even with her eye surgery I'm worried of losing her. Can a dog who has seizures, get one during an operation and die? I went to the dog park one time and this man was like he didn't want to get his dog neutered because he lost one dog from beinging spayed.

My dog has seizures. She was spayed without any complications.

But, I am not a vet. You should speak to your vet about this. :)

I used to own an epileptic dog who needed surgery. She came through with flying colors. I agree with tessa, that you should voice your concerns with your vet.
I was also told that because of the seizures and the medication that she would have a shortened lifespan. Well. she lived to be 18. If that was shortened, I wonder what long would have been!!!
