I spoke to the breeder yesterday, explained everything that has happened, how much more money this is going to cost us, etc. I was hoping he would offer to give us our money back, he did, in return for the dog. But he has offered to pay our insurance excess which is nice, as that will soon add up from all these vets bills, our excess is 10% of the costs incured. So at least this means we wont be paying out any extra money. I suppose Im a bit of a wimp, I couldn't ask him for our money back, I just cant get my head round the fact that technically shadow is goods, like if I bought a TV or something, he makes money from breeding dogs, and I have a (excuse the term, I dont view shadow in this way at all.) faulty dog. But I couldn't do it, so we've accepted the insurance excess as a good will gesture, I suppose with the MRI scan it could end up costing him more than what we paid him for shadow anyway. I just want her to be happy, and at the moment, in herself she is happy. She seems to enjoy life as much as any other puppy. And thats all that matters to me.

Again.... you're wonderful to do this !! Glad you're getting some compensation and I hope the breeder ends up paying more than he got for the pup.

Just to let every one know. The Vets we were refered to have rung back with the results of shadows blood tests. They dont show any thing. Which is what the vet thought any way. So the next thing now is for her to have an MRI scan, she's puzzling the vets, even the specialists dont know whats wrong with her. They find it fasinating. I dont, I just want her to be ok. Also the breeder visited to see how shadow was and to give us money to pay our insurance excess, he was really concerned, which was good. She had her first injection yesterday and took it really well, thing is our vets practice now refer to her as the "wobbly dog". I didnt find that very ammusing I must say. Well I'll let you all know what they say after we have the MRI scan. :(
