My new horse!! *lots of pics*

Well, my grandparents surprised me with a new horse today!!!

I was not expecting it, I lost my other horse last year (he was 23) and was totally devistated, I had rescued him from the slaughter house, and spent all my time with him, nursing him back to health.

Anyways, his name is Rocky (he came with the name) and he is gorgeous. He is 5 years old, and 14.2 hands (smaller than I'm used to, but I'll deal, lol. He is such a lovebug, but he wasn't taken very good care of by his other owner, and I can't wait to see what he looks like once I get him in shape, and his coat shining!!

But you guys don't want to hear about this, you want pictures!!

Ok, i dont know much about horses but hes beautiful! I had a miniature pony when i was 10, but ive never had a horse i could actually ride Lol

His other owner didn't take care of him? His coat looks to be in awfully good shape considering. What do you ride western/english, show?

Roxy, it's not so much that they didn't take care of him physically, but he sat in a pen all day, and they never did anything with him. Plus, my grandparents have had him for about a week, grooming and such, I just hadn't been over yet.

Anyways, I ride mostly western, though I have done some english riding. I have competed in barrel racing at local rodeos and fairs but nothing big. He is barely broke to ride, so I am definitaly going to have to do some major work before I do any competing with him.

Beautiful Paint!!! On my cousins farm where I board my horse they have three Paints 1 mare, 1 yearling filly and a gelding. Rocky looks almost identical to their yearling. I want to see tons more pics soon!!! There is no such thing as to many horse pics .
