Bailey's allergies manifest themselves in red, runny eyes and eye "boogers."

Since yesterday, one eye in particular has been bugging him (the other is pink but not too bad). He's had his usual Benedryl doses (2 pills given twice a day) and I used (dog) eye drops I had on hand earlier today as well as cold compresses. Plus I have my super duper (hospital quality) air purifier on high. The eye is still pretty pink and runny.

My choices:
(1) Call regular vet tomorrow when their office opens
(2) Call new holistic vet now (I have her cell phone number) (her office isn't open until Tues)
(3) E-vet tonight

I don't really think the e-vet is necessary, because I do think it's allergies since both eyes are irritated. But would appreciate thoughts. Is this worthy of calling a vet at home or can/should I wait?

Poor Bailey boy.

Okay, I think the last round of cold compresses helped, though it's still pink.

I hate this. I don't know how people have kids. :lol-sign:

I think it can wait, just don't let scratching happen. When Smudge got cedar oil in his eyes apparently it was a non emergency till he started trying to itch at them as it hurt..

Only I didn't realize he'd gotten it in his eyes till I saw him itching.. He caused enough trauma to induce uveitis and that's where our issues began.

Hope he's feeling better soon.
