I love how poodle haven't changed too mush, only on hairstyles :)

The corded ones look fantastic but it was something like a short time look for showing , it's a lot of work I can't image doing this to Pompadour I don't think I could do something that hard >->

The bulldogs look very nice, the ones on the pics aren't so fit like the ones of old bull baiting drawings but this guys look a lot more healthy than the ones from today, and the most likely even gave birth naturally.

1930's dobe:

From 1947:

From 1948:

The rest are from the 1950's:

Obviously this is one of my favorite eras in the breed - mis 1940's to mid 1950's. Also would like to note that the "old style" Dobermans look more like current American show dogs than their European show counterparts.

This dog looks like it could very nearly be Tallulah's littermate, Pops :)

I love seeing how much Kharma looks like the old fashioned Filas

This dog, Gigante da Jaguara, looks SO much like Kharma's sire, Gamble

Those pictures are exactly what I think of when I think of a good Dobe.

thats because the job built the dogs & the job was still around 30 years ago, SO there are people that still know what the working type looked like & produce at least the look

You would like her, Pops. I suspect she's not far removed, especially considering the people who ask me about her, nod and say they have an idea where she's from.

I know one thing for sure, she wasn't going to back down even from Kharma :wall:

There is one past dog that looks SO much like Summer. I need to find it. It's hidden in my photobucket somewhere...

Oh and I like this comparison just for them both having flying papillons in the background.
