This morning my fiancee woke up with an eye infection, and went to the doctor's to find out it was Conjunctivitis. Anyway, I know it's super contagious when it comes to human/human contact... but can dogs "catch" it as well?

As far as I know, no. Sawyer had the canine version of pink eye once and I woke up one day with gummy eyes, so I called the vet to ask. They said it's not transmutable.

You be darn sure!

They do have drops these days that render the infection null upon contact, so you can't spread it. Sure beats a week of being contagious!

I looked it up and I guess the dog version of conjunctivis and human version are caused by two different types of bacteria that cannot be spread to different species...sounds like your pups are safe...you better watch out!

I think I'm starting to get it in one of my eyes... eek! I started using the drops this morning to catch it before it gets any worse =/ Ian didn't get the drops until last night, and I think I caught it before that :(
