We (Bear and I) are having some issues with the down command.
He doesn't want to do it or he is just not comfortable.

He never really lays on his stomach to begin with, maybe once in a while when sleeping but anything else he either has all 4s in the air or on his sides.

So I need some help.

TIA

Have you tried putting down something soft for him to lie on? Some dogs don't like to lie on the bare floor.

Also, if you can get him to down onto his side, hey, that's a good start unless you want to compete.

If he doesn't do it on his own maybe it is uncomfortable at his stage of growth. Maybe wait a bit and teach other things.

Thanks yall.

We have very soft carpet and soft, cozy leather furniture.

I will do what Dekka suggested, it sounds about right for why he is not lying on his tummy.

:D

I have always had a real hard time luring small dogs into a down so what I did was lure tem under my legs while I was sitting on the floor and they got their reward the second their belly touched the ground.

This is what I do.
