His Voice Cracked

Sam's voice used to always be high-pitched and puppy-ish and now it's only high pitched if he wants something or if he's playing with other dogs. The only time his voice is deep is if our neighbour's dog is out in his backyard or if somebody is at the door.

Today however he was upset because his toy got stuck under a shelf thing and he couldn't get it. He went to do his whiny bark and then his voice cracked. He looked absolutely confused and tried again to have his voice crack again. I got his toy out but he kept trying until he got his usual high-pitch bark.

Silly pup. Just had share some Sam for today.

Sighs..they all grow up.

I will tell Sam. I never knew that dogs voices cracked, though now he's back to being a high-pitched whiner.

It is so funny when that happens, especially when it's mid-bark, lol!
