There was a huge couple wildfires near my side of the city this afternoon/evening, they spread super fast from starting up around 3:30pm because of 130kmh winds (category 1 hurricane force) and the super dry prairie grass.I've been sitting in my house waiting on pins and needles for an evacuation notice for the evening, but before i settled in at home my brother and i went out to take some pictures (and pretend it was a zombie apocalypse). All photos were taken by him.
Keep in mind these were taken between 4:30-5:00pm, sun sets around 5:00pm.
The fire has been contained so i'm finally able to relax a bit. When we came home from photographing, we were covered in ash and smoke smell. We also had ash in our teeth.
