Ontario's Bill 132 is working overtime. A mom and 3 pups are on death row in Sarnia for allegedly being "Pit Bulls". They have been granted one stay of execution at this time while the owners prepare for a court battle. Sarnia is in the process of doing a door to door dog census possibly looking for more victims to kill......

Their lawyer is doing this without payment.

Personally, if these dogs are not covered under this law, I would have refused to release them and let them bring charges against me. But we all know how these ACO's do their best to scare and intimidate you into doing what they want, and this is a young couple who may have been easily intimidated.

Their winning this case could do well for our cause, especially if they win before our return to court June 28th.

Dog census?

Huh I'd hate to live in Sarnia knowing that THAT is what my tax dollars are going towards.

What the hell? A mother and her pups?!? You would have had to pry those puppies and their mama from my cold dead hands. What flipping idiots.

I hate people.
My thoughts exactly. This all scares me so much - any idiot without dog knowledge thinks Meg is a pitbull. Thankfully, Vermont has anti-BSL laws; I will apparently never leave the state.

I wonder if they will allow the dogs to be transported out of town. Perhaps a rescue could hold them until proof of the breed can be found?

This makes me wonder how they found out....
A neighbor or someone probably called them "pitt bulls" and put in a complaint I guess? Not sure how else they would know they have a dog and puppies...

Its pretty convenient that with the change in the law from calling the dogs "pit bulls" they are now calling them American Stafford terrier so that they can get away with this. It is shameful because there are so many places in Ontario that are trying to do there best for pit bulls and it gives all the humaine societies a bad name. The Brantford and Toronto humaine societies for example are great and keeping any dogs they deem pitt bulls or not until they find them homes or get them out of Ontario in the case of brantford.
