Whole grain brown rice OK? and what is lamb meal?

I am switching Charlie to Canidae and the 2nd ingredient is whole grain brown rice. Is this OK? I thought grains in general were not good? Also the first ingredient is lamb meal. What is lamb meal as opposed to just lamb? I'm still learning.....

Anybody?

Brown rice is a very good ingredient and has a lot more nutrition than regular rice. Lamb meal is also a very good ingredient. It is just lamb meat with the moisture removed so it is more dense. I prefer seeing lamb meal as opposed to just lamb in an ingredient list.
