Chez Dizzy has been through a transformation (home renovation photo dump!!)

In the beginning there was the 60s....



So we changed the carpet and sofa! What a difference.



Then there was a bit of banging and demolishing.







Heavenly!!



The we thought we'd pull out the big guns..... Solid slate weight bearing wall from roof to cellar..... No mean feat.

Bit different!!!! Space!!

Well today we bought some finishing touches. We are practically finished!!! Bit of a dramatic change eh?

Fred approves. Bodhi... I'm not even sure where she is. Lol. On a bed somewhere.

Looks so cozy! And I love that blue rug!

We did the fireplace at the beginning of the year... We has the roof re-leaded so whilst the scaffolding was up thought it would be a good time to sort the chimney out.

I think it's taken about 6 ish weeks to do the wall and decorate!!! Not bad

Next job is the bathroom... We need a new boiler (ours is very old and nearly condemned!) so then it's new bath and shower etc...

Then eventually... Kitchen... Sun room.. Store room... The list goes on lol!!!!!

It's an 18th century slate cottage that used to be a coaching inn in a former life. Lots of work to do....

Eta - the rug is actually teal my phone doesn't pic up the colour very well!!

What I've missed is we've painted one wall a deep chocolate brown... So it's brown and teal colours

Thanks. It's better than I hoped it would be!!

Zoom.. very little I think!! It's not going to appreciate if we do major work so will ddecorate the room properly when it's older. We have some ideas though the wallpaper is old so we can do anything we want paint wise even if it's a bit mad lol
