Bailey had major surgery on her leg a week ago today. She had a mass removed by a highly recommended surgeon specialist. I thought long and hard about whether it was worth it to put her through the surgery and the long recovery but in the end, she's a fit and active 12.5 year old dog with minimal signs of slowing down.

Today was change the bandage and check the incision day. Everything looked MARVELOUS! Her leg is smooth and healing wonderfully! So we just rebandaged her leg and I got to choose the wrap this time, I chose tractors... ;)

What's that song? Oh, yeah, "We're from the country and we like it that way."

For reference, this is what it looked like just weeks before removal.

(That big protrusion on her right foreleg.)

I didn't even think to take a picture today but her leg was SMOOTH! I'll definitely take one next week! :)

Yay for looking Marvelous. Prayers and vibes for continued healing with long and happy days ahead. Tractors..that was just a sweet touch to help an ow not look so scary. Glad you were able to find such a good and caring surgeon who cares about every step of the process, including an owner's loving worries.
Bailey is beautiful. I have always had a soft spot in my heart for Springers.

Glad to hear she is healing well! She is definitely rocking the Tractor bandage and NOW I have the "She thinks my tractor's sexy" song stuck in my head.
