My mum always takes her dog to work with her, she works for the council in the planning department and most of the time she is there alone and Barley sits under her desk in his basket.
Last week it was the Easter holidays and the woman who works with mum from time to time had to bring her kids to work with her. Of course they fell in love with Barley instantly! Barley is used to a very quite life, just him and mum, who like to be quiet together! But the kids fussed him, brought him toys to play with, biscuits to eat. And basically didn't leave him alone all day!
Mum said at one point he looked at her as if to say "HELP ME Mummy I just want to sleep!!!!!" Barley is a very friendly dog, but he hates lots of noise, and really he likes best of all curled up on the sofa with my mum!!
Bless him! Mum said when they got home he was exhausted and flopped down onto the sofa and stayed there for the rest of the day!!
