Vinegar & water
I was just skimming thru here & noticed someone brought up using vinegar. I use this for my dog at first sign of shaking his head. Use 1/2 white cider vinegar and 1/2 warm water. I use less than a teaspoon in a big dropper. This will kill mites I believe (sorry it's been awhile since I did the research).
He shakes his head alot after I do this. By next day-no more head shakes.
Cheap,readily available & will do no harm that I'm aware of.
