When at first your eyes met mine,
I knew that we had but limited time.

Knowing that, I took you into my arms,
Promising not to let you come to any harm.

We stood together through thick and thin, side by side,
But from the angels, You, I could not hide.

They came too soon to take you away,
So I quietly sat alone and prayed.

A little more time is all that I'd need,
But to my prayers you took me no heed.

You knew your time better than I,
When you left me all I could do was cry.

Saddness filled me to the top,
It hurt so bad I thought my heart would stop.

I get stronger every day,
And by your grave, flowers I daily lay.

My memories of you are very fond,
They speak of our eternal bond.

My family has helped me because they know,
Of the love that we would always show.

But for me to make it through this all,
Please hear my ever desperate call.

Where ever you are, on me, let your love out pour,
