Ok, so my husband tells me about his friend who has a very sweet young lovebird that he no longer wants. I guess it was for his daughter and she stopped taking care of it in like a week. The bird squawks CONSTANTLY and begs for attention. My husband said he'd take it (because my birthday is in less than a week and I had been talking wanting a lovebird). I went to go see the bird and (s)he (I don't know what it is) seemed very affectionate with me but HATED my husband. This bird yelled at him him and wouldn't let him touch him. Does anyone know if this is a normal thing for Lovebirds? Will the bird ever warm up to him or no? I know with all the research I heard they can attach themselves to just one person, but I didn't think it would be that quick it would attach itself to one of us. Also it's an only lovebird, they never bought it a friend, would I be able to introduce another lovebird in with it or is it too late I was thinking of buying another hand fed lovebird from a breeder.
