I show this to my grandson and tell him it's a self portrait, where you make something in art that represents you. So he looks at it and says "I think you need to it with you awake now"..sheeesh :D he's a hard one to impress. Will see how it fires. I thought about mason stains, but it's a little too dry for that now. i am just going to iron oxide it with a minimum of glaze.

then there is this which I am not sure I could explain. I just started to work on this, it's hollowed out, and i am getting the shape still.

I LOVE the self portrait! I can't wait to see how it turns out!

The second one looks like a woman nestled in a cocoon, waiting to come out as a butterfly :)

It's suppose to represent our need to change but it doesn't say it well...still I will finish it.
