I just got back from a cattle-call job interview for Frightmare Manor. The website locates it in Knoxville, but really it's on the west end of Knoxville.

Some of the people there were plenty scary without any makeup. I'm in better shape than most of their security staff, except for the guy who runs a dojo.

They split us all up -- acting jobs and staff. The guy that interviewed me kept asking, "are you SURE you don't want to be an actor?" I told him "no, but I'm flexible, if you need someone on the front I figure you can stuff me in a push up bra and Elvira dress." He cracked up, said he was jotting down "push up bra" next to my name and said I reminded him of someone. "Yeah, I've been tagged with Jessica Rabbit, and one of the guys at the gym keeps calling me Lady Heather -- I'm going to have to hurt him." He grinned and said, "don't hurt me, but you do."

He was a little wide-eyed at some of the stuff I've done, working with pro-wrestling, managing auctions, managing murder trials and asked me if any of the stuff I was writing had any horror overtones :rofl1:

Not holding my breath

Anyway, that's the weird for the day.

I can imagine you were a memorable interviewee. How many other people were there? That would be one wild people-watching event!

There were probably about 200. The majority looked like they'd be right at home hanging out with that Honey Boo Boo family

I was the only one in a skirt ;) It was casual, and I'll guarantee I wasn't nearly as hot standing out there on the asphalt parking lot in the sun as everyone else.

Not really expecting them to contact me though.

Oh, yeah, and while I was standing there waiting I noticed my skirt was inside out.

It's one of those gauzy skirts with multiple layers and some of the seaming on the outside. But then there was that little tag about 4" above the hem  I doubt anyone else noticed. My top had a sweetheart neckline, lol . . .

Hope you get the job Renee - sounds like it would be a interesting adventure. Awaiting jobs from the firm this fall...a major hotel renovation, a tycoon developing a custom house in the British properties region, and a resort-casino all beginning around October...Ho-hum...hope I'm on board for at least one of those.

The first day I met my "boss" I was wearing neon purple hose, a black schoolgirl mini skirt, hot pink top, grey feather coat and silver Jeremy Scott "wing" sneakers. It was revealed to me by her husband a year later that it was my crazy outfit that sparked her interest in me and eventually led to my recruitment :lol-sign:

Hope you get it and the position you want to do. As you say, it's some extra money in these tough times.
