Having pets may be expensive at times, but they provide more love than you'll ever know. I couldn't imagine a life without them. They are my family.

$53 Billion!

Wow! That is a lot of money. I can understand as everything does add up. Pets are like an extension of our family. If we calculated how much we spend on our children that number would be way higher! I see these pets as an addition to my family, and you have to pay for their necessities too.

I've taken care of a lot of pets in my life (dog, cat, goldfish, birds, hamster, guinea pig, and rabbits). Like most, if not all, things in life, you have to give something (e.g., time, money, effort) in order to receive something in return (e.g., love, championship, loyalty).
