I wouldn't worry too much either but keep an eye on it. Tips was the same way and is very dog aggressive now (even though we took him out all the time around other dogs as a puppy). But obviously it doesn't mean your dog is going to turn out the same way, just keep rewarding him when he behaves well around others.
For what it's worth, my sister has an aussie too and he does goes nuts around other people and dogs, so I don't think it's necessarily the breed.
