The shot!

My pup has been dewormed and has had his first shot.. Ithink they need three right. He is a 8 week old basset/beagle.hes getting his second shot at the end of this week. Though is it ok for me to start bringing him to the park like today with the chance he might run into other dogs.. I just dont want to wait that long because i heard at 11 weeks without socilization they can become aggressive.

You really don't want to expose him yet. Parvo is a real puppy killer

I don't think you need to worry so much about him becoming aggressive. I didn't take my Filas out until they were three months old, and they're paragons of restraint and calmness out in public now, so I don't think you're going to have any problems if you wait with your Basset/Beagle puppy

I agree... And the risk is not only "meeting" other dogs... There is still a risk that your pup would be exposed to whatever any other dogs "left" behind.

Me too ..... there will be plenty of socialization at puppy school !
