Okay, *I* didn’t break it, *it* broke it LOL.
Took the dogs for a great long walk in the freezing cold, they were idiots running around like loons. (Though honestly, a great dane running flat out like Breez does, really is a thing of beauty.)
Anyway, brought them back in, was feeding them some bites of left-over grilled cheese, looked down and saw this:
Well, crud. Someone is bleeding duh.
Neither dog is acting or looking hurt, both looking at me with goofy grins waiting for more leftovers.
So I start checking more carefully, with hands, and petting, which is FUN and requires dancing around and smearing more blood all over the kitchen floor, and WTH!? I can’t figure out which dog is bleeding.
More checking, more dancing, hell, I even checked myself...
Finally I figured out it was Breez, she cracked her dew claw in half.
Clipped it off, got it to mostly stop bleeding, wrapped that sucker up, and now she’s good as new. Though slightly (okay, very) offended at having her foot wrapped. So she’s just going to lay here and refuse to look at or acknowledge her foot.
