Bad dog? She's a freaking very young puppy! I'm beyond baffled. Puppies bark. Puppies growl. Puppies talk back. Puppies give you the stinkeye before stealing your flip-flop to go destroy.
All I can say is that is one stinkingly adorable puppy.
ETA: she looks kinda American Bulldog-ish to me. At that age it's hard to tell, but she gives me that impression.
Right? She's acting like any other puppy right now. I think she's going to turn out to be a really awesome dog...but not for me. She's making it hard to say no. She already knows that when we go out she should potty. She took to a crate quite easily. And she's just a smoosh, such a cuddly freaking puppy.
Still, I just can't shake the feeling that the timing is all wrong. Could it all turn out perfectly and not affect Pig's training at all? Sure. But that's not a risk I feel comfortable taking right now. Maybe it would be different if Pig wasn't my first competition prospect, but I just don't want to end up over my head and fail either dog.
So sorry everybody, but I won't be contributing more puppy pics right now.
And yes Miakoda, quite a few of the pups look somewhat like american bulldogs. Maybe the sire was one/had some in him. The pups were actually still nursing when we got them. The mom is still in our medical center, so I haven't seen her personally, but from what I was told she's a smallish pit mix.
