Because it is 98% certain that this little fella will be coming to join us next week, and I'm getting tired of calling him PupPup.

He's a boy, I like fairly short names (one or two syllables), and prefer something that doesn't appear 10 times on every gate sheet at an agility trial.

Sage? Basil?

What kind of name do you want? Sporty name? People name? Old-fashioned name?

That is a bit long to be shouting out on agility courses, Chewbecca, but I'll toss it on the maybe list ;)

I generally like people names, but have started to realize that every name I like, I know a person named that. I'm good with pretty much anything but those typical BC agility names that sound more like exclamations than names.

Omigosh, what a cutie!

One of my favorite names for a dog is Canya - I've only known one other dog with that name. Then you can say, "Canya sit! Canya come here! Canya shut up! Canya weave!"

... get it? Can ya? Hee!

Anyway, regardless of what name you choose... CONGRATS!!! :)

Dang, some of you work fast! Multiple names I like (Jones, Tag, Tobias), but they are all dogs who trial with us. I'm trying to be a bit different, and failing.

The front runners I've gotten today are Oz, Pip and Stanley; nothing is really striking me as "This Is It!" though. Oh, and Fling, but that's a little too Not a Name for me. But I do like it.

And he says thanks for the cute comments! He's really a great example of "the right dog will find you". I'm blown away by him in oh so many ways.

Franklin?

Oblio?

Arrow? (not a name, really, but goes with Oblio, he's the dog from "The Point")

Ooh, Stewart.... That may go on the list as well. It partially makes me think of that cartoon character I hate, Stewie, but I do love that name.

Oh he's gorgeous. I am so excited for you!!

I admit, I am partial to Todd. Also, Rick.

But I will understand if you don't want to take name advice from someone who has dogs named Steve and Mushroom.
