Those are beautiful dogs, not what I think of for cockers at all around here.
Yeah, the field/show split is pretty extreme and you're not likely to see field line cockers unless you go looking! Luckily the Midwest is bird dog central, so it wasn't terribly hard finding a good breeder within driving distance.

Heh, he's such a little love. The breeder's daughter nicknamed him "Boyfriend" because he was always hanging out with her, and I can see why.

You know, I am usually not a cocker person *at all* but I am loving the athleticism and moderate looks on these guys! And the pup of course has me swooning! What a cutie =)

*glares at Emily* This does not help my puppy want. Not at all. And I cannot haz. X[

Seriously, though, he is CUTE! <3 Can't wait to watch him grow.

Funny that you say you think Macky is a Golden/Cocker mix. We think Cynder is a Lab/Cocker mix, and she looks like a shorter haired (still really thick), black version of Macky, in both looks and temperament.

Those dogs are all gorgeous, Cockers always had too much fur for me, but those guys don't look too hairy at all.

What's with puppies and hair? lol
You have one cute pup, though. Looks like it'll mature gorgeously, too. Lucky!
