I posted this once but I never saw it, so I'm trying again. I love reading all your threads but I'm not much of a poster. I'm a person of few words but will leave short comments. I admire people who can draft a long answer for members.
We adopted a shepherd mix puppy names Kona from a shelter here in San Diego and we also have two labs, tortoises, a turtle and a dart frog.
We just put down a 14yr old dog in July and this is why we rescued another puppy. My husband told the kids and I we would not be getting another dog but somehow he had a change of heart. I may have been a really really good wife.
We have had 3 dogs for the last 7 years and it felt strange to only have 2. I love having a trio but there are days I ask myself why I do this to myself. The worst part is when we need to be evacuated because of wild fires we have had and boarding when we want to go away.
