so....

had a preceptership at a vet clinic today.. BEST PRECEPTERSHIP EVER!!!! i got to watch a spay surgery in the morning on a pit/lab mix that the shelter picked up in a junkyard she had puppies 6 weeks ago. then there was a sheltie mix that was on fluid therapy since monday cause he ate what the owner thought was baby birds. and he had stopped eating the main vet was very condfident that the fluid therapy was all he needed but he still wasnt eating today and was miserable and his temp was higher so i got to assist with taking xrays and we saw that he had a bunch of gas in his stomach. the vet that was working today saw that he had a blockage. so she called the owner and said hey i think i need to do surgery now she said do it so i got to watch and assist a little in a foreign body removal and the last thing i got to watch was an aspiration of a fatty lump. oh and i also got to pull drugs for the 2 surgeries
