Interesting article about how the media sensationalizes things.

And there's an interesting reply by somebody who mentioned the case where the pub dogs killed a baby, and they say that the dogs didn't actually kill it, it was the shock of being dropped on the floor that did it.

Makes you wonder how many "attack" stories aren't really attacks (although clearly some are, where they show the wounds afterwards).

Interesting read, thanks for posting.

One point that never seems to be brought up in regards to Dog Bite Related stats is that they include the deaths and injuries from secondary causes in these lists. Yes the person was bit but they died from an infection. There was also a case if I remember correctly of a person that was hit by a car running from a dog and that is what caused the injury.

Of course, we all know the media...."If it bleeds, it leads!"
