Yes,I've seen it before. My daughter's female had growths on her body and her male kept chwing at a large one during the course of an afternoon. When we checked, the growth was completely gone, the male had chewed it off. Luckily they were sebaceous growths and not cancerous but the vet said she should keep an eye out in case he chewed more off and she would do a biopsy to make sure the diagnosis was correct. He hasn't touched any of the other ones. Our guess is that the one he chewed was hurting or bothering the female cause she had just laid there and let him do the job. Maybe you should have your dog checked by the vet, maybe there's something he can detect by smell or feel that should be taken care of.
