If it's "just" going to be a pet, I STRONGLY recommend Aussie Rescue then.

The dogs main job will be a pet, but the friend would like to try his hand in Flyball, and if his sister gets sheep, then the dog will be started on that.
I've tried suggesting rescue, but they would like to go with a breeder.
