Default kidney trouble?

My dog has not been quite right for a week. She eats fine, and is her usual happy self, but she cannot jump up on the bed or the couch. I noticed the other day she yelped when I squeezed her back end, where the kidneys might be. I thought I noticed a little light red blood in her her urine as she just peed on our bed. I was thinking it was a pulled back muscle but I'm not sure now..any ideas?
thanks!

that is the next step. I was hoping with rest the muscle will heal, but we are taking her Monday to the vet.

If she is eating fine, I'd look more at a bladder or urinary tract infection. Typically, with kidney issues, the dog (or person) will be nauseous and not wanting to eat.

If you can't get her into the vet prior to Monday, I would suggest getting some cranberry extract or D-Mannose into her to help with the discomfort.
