purebred or not it should be fixed unless you plan on breeding. and you deffinetly shouldnt plan on breeding unless you buy a show quality dog, AND earn it some titles first. and then pick a mate for it that is of equal or higher quality as far as bloodlines and titles. the only justifiable reason to breed any dog is an attempt at improving the breed, improve it in every aspect, not just because you like its looks or its personality).

uhm whats the difference? mixed or purebred, they all should be fixed! maybe your mom might need some education about dogs first, too. i'm not trying to be mean, but a grown-up should know better than that. if you cant afford the spaying or neutering, you shouldnt have another dog. or see in advance if any vet in your area participates in the low cost spaying and neutering program. if u get one from the SPCA, they should automatically be fixed. please let your mom know, regardless of the breed being mixed or not...they should be fixed. end of story!

I am giving her the benifit of the doubt due to previous conversations with her. she seemed smart and open minded, and concerned for the well being of her dogs. I am assuming she meant that if it is a show quality purebred, they will show it and if it is breeding quality it MIGHT be bred. if not it will be fixed? regardless, I strongly suggest rocky be fixed. there are neough mixed breed dogs out there, no one needs to be breeding anymore wether accident or not. and it will prevent him from developing testicular cancer, as well as other health problems.
