Pee-pee time

I wanted to know, how many times do you take your dog out to do his/her business? I mean, I get yelled at if it has been 3 hours since Peanuts last walk. Is this too much, or should I just continue what I'm doing?

To be honest I have no idea how regually they should go out!! It's a very good question actually!!! I leave my door open all the time so Gus is in and out as he pleases during the day, and in the evening when it gets dark (around 10 pm) and we have the door shut, I probably let him out 2 or 3 times before bed. I think he only goes out there to have a sniff about and bark though!

I have to take peanut out a 12 midnight. That seems to be enough because she goes again around 6:30

I know what you mean. Yesterdays walk produced 2 bags of poop and killed about 5,000 of my braincells LOL

When I get up in the morning I let the girls out, and then they go out as many times as they need to during the day...maybe 3-5 times. At night we let them out once or twice. Their walks are about an hour and once a day.

Every 2-3 hours. Mostly the door is open for Boris most of the time, and I don't really watch him out anymore, my guess is that he pees probably 6-8 times a day. For Tips, every 2-3 hours is fine, he just holds (at 2 months, I'm so proud). We let them out last thing before bed at night (between 10 and 2am basically) and they hold until 8-9am without a problem... even Tips.

I do my dogs 30min., or 1 hour the maximum.

Grammy and I are lucky. Hunter and Chip can hold it FOREVER! And sometimes CHOOSE to do so if the weather's bad, etc. Especially good for my since I leave at 7:30 am for work and don't get home until 5:30 pm. One time Hunter had a tummy problem and HAD to go and went down to the basement and went next to a cat litter box. He's soooo smart!!!
