UTI check??

How does a vet check to see if a dog has a UTI ?? I can't think of any way I could get a urine sample from my dog...

try getting a soup ladle or a shallow plastic container underneath when s/he pees.

Lily would jump a foot in the air if I stuck something under her when she was trying to pee! LOL.... Besides there is no space between her and the ground when she is peeing that I can see. Seriously, she would freak if I tried to do that. Thanks anyway...
