Sore legs?

How is she today? Hope doing better....

Well she's doing okay today, but this is REALLY weird. She walks normally, runs normally, goes up and down the stairs, turns around etc...

But, when she crawls under a chair (which she does often - there are a lot of them in this house) she cries and when she comes out, she's three-leggin it and favoring that left rear leg. She did this once when she jumped, too. She limps for maybe 30 seconds and then she's back to normal again. I don't understand it. It almost reminds me of Ripley with his luxating patellas but I've tried to feel if her kneecaps are loose, and they feel fine to me.

Couldn't get hold of the vet yesterday so I'm calling today.

That's odd I was thinking luxating patellas, too. I hope she gets better soon.

RD if you pick Dash up and feel the hind legs ie placing the feet into the palms of your hands and cause the knees to bend is there kind of a cracky ( best description I can give) or poppy type of feel ? That is what my Shih-Tzus have which is the tendon slipping. They can live fine without surgery for some time if there is no pain. If there is pain from it then they go in and deepen the groove in the legs to keep it in place. This is a very common thing in the tou or small breeds but can happen to larger ones too. I am hoping there is nothing wrong here but pain like this tells me that pup needs to be seen. I am so sorry and sending you giant hugs.

ETA: It would be far more likely that Ripley would have this problem then a BC but I never rule it out.
