Age limit

I was wondering the age you had to be to join Chazhound, I want my cousin to join. I remember I read they had an age limit but I can't remember where I saw it

I'm pretty sure it's 13... however, I know I've seen people on here who are younger.

ok, thanks. My cousin is 11 but mature for her age IMO. I can't find where is says the limit, do you think she would get in trouble for signing up?

I remember having to verify that I was 13 or above in the registration process. I'm not sure if she would get in trouble or not. There are certainly exceptions, and I can think of a well-respected teen who joined at 12 and she didn't get in trouble as she was so mature. I can also think of 12-and-unders who joined and got banned or really annoyed some people.
I think a mod will be better able to answer that question than me.

^^ Right. I know there have been some very mature 12 year olds that have joined. But I know, personally, there are also some very, very inmature 12 year olds that have joined.

If a parent tells Chazhound that they give thier kid the thumbs up I think they can stay. I also think the age limit is 12-13 but not sure.By the way, I was honest and told the mods and they told me to have my dad contact Chazhound. Also, I didn't have to tell my age in the prosses and there wasn't an age limit stated. So, I think I am fine to stay(not to be rude).

Yes, you do have to state if you are over 13.

Bottom line, while there have been members that are 12 years of age and been VERY responsible and mature, there has been just as many (if not a lot more) that have lied and said they were 13 and over and have wreaked havoc on the forums.

Sooo.... let's abide by rules.
