I've heard it said a few times that Labs can throw Brindle. I've seen some dogs that were reportedly purebred Labs with brindle point on them.

I just noticed that she also has webbed feet. I think that she is maybe a plott hound mix? Any thoughts on that? Maybe plott hound/lab mix?

Here is my Mountain Cur for a comparison (the one with the docked tail). I certainly think it may be possible.
[IMG] [/IMG]Meg gets the "pitbull" comment sometimes as well, since she is brindled and very well muscled. But her head is very non-pit to me. I can almost see a beagle-y look when her ears are forward. The Mountain curs, I believe, are mostly terrier and hound, so a pit/hound look makes sense. Do you know where the foster came from originally?

I am not sure where she is from originally but I know there are curs around because that is the breed her rescue started with. The rescue said that she doesn't resemble a cur at all but I have been looking up pictures and have found quite a few that she resembles and she does resemble Meg. Her movements seem more houndlike as well. She walks more slinky with her head lower. Whatever she is she is a sweet girl. One day inside and she hasn't had an accident since the first night. She listens pretty well and while she is pretty active she will sit almost immediatly when told so when she gets too jumpy we just tell her to sit. My biggest problem is my pit Tyson because even though he has never shown any dog aggression before he will try to rip her to pieces when she comes in the door. They are fine together outside and he will play with her there but if she comes in the house he has to be crated while we bring her in or he attacks her. I am hoping to find her a good home soon so Tyson can go back to being his sweet self.

I agree with lab.. I can also see some hound in her but my first instinct is that it had alot of lab in it.
