Default 'ionic' grooming brush?

Wondered if anyone uses this, and if it is better??? Saw an ad for it, cost is $20. Supposedly it feels nice to the dog while brushing?? I'm not one to fall for advertising hype, so thought I'd ask. IF it were really great, I might consider getting one. I groom everyday. Addie isn't always too thrilled, but she is used to it due to having lots of hair shedding all summer long (boy, does she ever get thick in the winter!) Ham loves it....anything for attention. lol Thanks! The ad claims it helps repel fleas and ticks....ok, I don't really believe that one.
