Default protein/fat

I am having problems finding a quality food that is around the fat/protein content i want. I feel that around 20% fat and 30% protein is ideal. the only reason i say this is that before Ruckus was on a high fat, high protein diet he was lazy, his coat was dull and falling out, and he didnt appear nearly as spunky as he does now on this high protein, high fat diet.

since i am having problems finding a food to fit my likings, could i find a way to add protein and fat to food that doesnt have enough?

BTW- i know timberwolf has some foods that are pretty close to that, dont they? timberwolf sure is expensive but it looks like the route i will be going

As I said on the other thread. You can always choose a lower protein/fat food and just add an egg a day.

Remember, with a food like Nutro Active, even though it contains higher fat and protein, that doesn't mean it's great quality and as biologically available. Sometimes if you feed a food with a lower protein/fat content, but that contains very high quality, biologically available protein sources, your dog actually gets more out of it then he would on a lower quality food containing more fat/protein.

I feed Orijen, which has 40***37; protein and 16% fat. Also, the TWO Wild and Natural has 36% protein and 18% fat.
