Hi all, I just got my first dog of my own about two weeks ago. My family always had one or two dogs while I was growing up but after going to college, moving away, getting a job, it is now nearly 10 years later and I finally get to have a dog again.

I found 2.5 year old Jett at the Oregon Humane Society. She's a Border Collie & Lab mix of some sort. From what I've read she's very well adjusted for a border collie. I've read a lot of horror stories online but so far she is doing very good. I know I just have to make sure gets her daily exercise and keep her from becoming bored.

She's very good off-leash, always comes when I call her, understands sit, leaves the cat alone (but not the cat food of course), is very gentle and eager to please.

I've read a handful of posts on this forum and am glad to have found an active group of people willing to answer questions. I'm looking forward to learning and being able to answer questions for others.

I'm not sure why your pic isn't showing up. It depends on how you tried to post it. You need to host it to a site like photobucket or imageshack and copy the url here. It should look like this [img]www.url.com[/img]
