Hi guys.
The following happened to my friend's dog who is 4months plus (Schnauzer). One night, he suddenly woke up from his sleep and appeared to have breathing difficulties. She described his condition then as "something stucked in his nose, can't breathe". She said that his chest felt like they've collapsed (or something like that), and he was weak. All of a sudden, he gave a bark and he's alright. So was it a bad dream, or was it some kind of an attack?

My dog had something similar to that as well. One day he was regular and the next it seemed as if he had some sort of breathing problem..it was a hoarse sound it was a bit scary but after a bit he shook it off and went on playing happily...It was weird and I can't explain it but I don't think it was an athsma attack..

I would say it was a dream is he recovered so fast.
Not asthma. |

I agree, the quick recovery would make me think it's probably not asthma. Although I believe asthma is supposed to be pretty rare in dogs, my friend's hound was just diagnosed with it. If it happens again, I think it's probably worth checking out.

Yup. That's what I told her, too. Thanks for the advice!
