I've been doing fostering for a while, but LUCKILY I'm in an area where a lot of people foster, so I sometimes don't feel as if I'm doing enough.

So for the past few months I've been looking into doing rescue through myself, and was wondering if anyone else here does rescue out of their home, and their experiences with it. Pros, cons, that sort of thing. This isn't happening anytime soon, probably not until I move to a bigger home with the dogs I have now. Just wanting to be very prepared for if I do make this decision. :)

There was a period of time where I did some 'self fostering' and had to network out and involve other fosterer's, vets, ect

It's a lot of work (with other people - as I consider working with the dogs the easy part) and the costs are usually high, but it is worth it.

When you move or whatever, you need to check the zoning, laws, and perhaps get a kennel license (depending on your area of course) and suck up to the neighbors :p
