Still Tamara is a very good breeder. She has done ALOT for our pup even before we got him and she's always a phonecall away if we have any troubles.

CO's have a very wide range of coats, and body builts.

There are three major types, The dog shown is above is Georgean, and Katya looks like Armenian.

Yeah the steppe types look to have much lighter built the mountain types.

Do you know who the mom and dad are? Katya's parents are Mishka (sp?) and Gurhka (sp?). It was not a planned breeding though, Mishka jumped the fence into Gurhka's pen while she was in heat.

Yes Tamara and Gabe are very helpful people and willing to be a huge resource for their CO owners. I didn't notice the page was owned by them although I know it hasn't been updated as the two of them are no longer together.

You are also right that Katya is an Armenian.

The name of the mother currently escapes me, but Khan was the father. ( he is also son of ghurka i believe).

I remember mother was a big girl at around 150ish pounds with dark fawn color. My pup looks alot like his mom, but with his fathers temperment.

Wow! He looks like Mishka a lot! What a beautiful boy. What aggression level is he? Katya is a low but I don't think she knows that! Is your boy companion or protection or both? Katya is both, mom works for the BOP and can use the extra protection.

He is both

He is pretty agressive, but not overly so.

He likes most things smaller then he is. And select few bigger dogs who he plays with sometimes. He ignores strangers on the street, unless they are behaving erratically.

When we have guests we have to meet them outside our neighborhood entrance and walk with them to the house. He is very protective on property , less so off-property

He started being a nice watch dog around 6 months old, and tried to actively protect at around 8.

He's great at what he does
