I smear some inside her cleaned marrow bones. Keeps her busy for sure and it doesn't take much. She has grown to expect it at night.

I think people recommend it not because it's particularly great for dogs, but because all dogs seem to like it, and its consistency works great as a filling that they tend to work for a long period of time at getting out of a kong or a bone. Plus everyone has it in their cupboards so it's not like a hard thing to go find. Works out great!

My dogs love peanut butter.

I give what are called peanut butter spoons as a special treat. I get a spoon.. put peanut butter on it and hold the spoon while they lick it off. Great fun for them

Me too . It is sooo funny to watch (and hear) them enjoying their treats.

Have you tried tahini or almond butter instead? Those are generally better tolerated and still very tasty.

I posted this thread just before going to bed and then as I was reading in bed I got hungry. I made my son and I each 2 butter and peanut butter toast. My son didn't eat all his I put too much on the way I like it well I split part of it with the dogs and it was funny how she just licked and licked and licked.
I buy krafts I think if I were to buy the real stuff just for him, I'd be in trouble. my hubby was raised that a dog stays outside and if it's sick you shoot it he couldn't do it. he's come a long way accepting that dogs need good food not table scraps, they need vaccinations. As a matter of fact he told me to bring Ginger in when she started showing signs of ear infection but...peanut butter??? I don't know...lol
