This was a photo my sister took years ago of our cat, Shadow, for a photography class and I finally got it scanned. Shadow was a barn cat that we brought home (she'd hurt a paw, possibly from a horse stepping on it) and, of course, we promised Mom and Dad that she would only stay until she recovered. (She never went back to the barn, heehee, and remained a housecat for the rest of her life.) I always thought she was a beautiful cat. She was a solid black with a very thick coat and when she got older, just her whiskers turned white. She was about 13 or 14 when this photo was taken (she lived to be nearly 20).
