Default Dog vaccines

I have had dogs in the past and am now in the process of getting a new puppy from a very reputable breeder. She has informed me that some breeders are no longer giving their dog's vaccinations every year. There is information out that dogs do not need vaccinations beyond their puppy shots. In away it makes sense to me because I know that people don't get regular shots in adulthood. She says that it can be unhealthy for the dog to recieve unnessasary vaccinations. I was just wondering what your opinions were on dog vaccinations. Thanks.
