I have two adult Yorkies and a week ago got a 8 week old Yorkie puppy. The puppy loves to eat the adult dog food and pretty much wont eat his puppy food. I am concerned he may be getting too much of something and not enough of another. To get the puppy to eat his puppy food, I have to feed my other two in a room closed off which isnt working becuase the two adults like to "free feed" eat a little here and there when they want to. I am just wondering if when the puppy eats adult food if I am causing future growth problems or whatever????

It's not bad for him, but if he only eats the adult food he won't get the nutrients he need.

Your best bet probably would be to switch to an 'all lifestages' adult food - good brands like Innova or Canidae make them. That, or teach your other dogs to eat at specific times.

Thanks for the great advise, I had no idea there was an all life styles dog food and will get some quick.
