Same here, if I don't my neck starts to ach, it's always the tell tail sign for a new pillow. Plus the amount of dust mites that accumulates in a pillow with time is gross.....ewww! I remember watching an expert on the Oprah show say a pillow should be changed at least every 3 years because of the dust mites.
